How to make Money Online without HTML or Web Programming Skills

This Post about Making Money Online without Programming Skills or HTML experience is part of my series titled "Programming Illiterate Web Gurus"

I have said it a million times before and I am going to say it again. You do NOT need to be a computer expert to be a successful webmaster. On the contrary, many webmasters I know today are do not know basic HTML and they are doing just fine.(In many cases, more than just fine)! This article is geared towards those of you who would love to own your own (chain of) successful websites but do not have very much programming or HTML knowledge. If you do not know the basics of Domains and Hosting, you should go and read my article about it.

First thing is first. You must decide on what functions you want your website to have. Grab a pen or paper(or open up wordpad) and write the ones that apply.

1. My website will contain only information and some advertisements (Affiliate website).

2. My website will contain a shopping cart where visitors will be able to buy products. I want to accept credit cards and other payment methods.

3. My website will have a members only section, paid subscription based, or where a user will have to go through a free signing up process to gain access.

4. My website is will be more complicated, it might or might not have a combination of the above, but will also require database functions.

Generally, the first three are the easiest and least expensive. For example to run an affiliate website your cost can be zero, or close to zero. If you want to have a shopping cart, your might have to add a few bucks a month(Yup, thats it!). Same goes for running a subscription based website. If you have some elaborate plans for a website, or thinking or something complicatedly original, you might want to consider having someone one write the website for you. In most cases, a website will cost under a few hundred dollars. This is due the large number of computer programmer out there. Regardless, you might want to read my article Website Programming Outsourced.

Let’s start off with the easiest, which is an affiliate website.
